New Office to promote community involvement

Posted by Jeff Rees on March 28, 2007 9:54 PM |

The Government has approved the setting up of an Office for Active Citizenship, following the publication of a report into how people could be encouraged to play a greater role in Irish society.

How can people could be encouraged to play a greater role in Welsh society?

There is not much community life left in Wales, I find. Society does not function. Houses are not homes but just storage spaces and a place for sleep. People do not know their neighbours. I find you cannot trust people here. It is everybody to himself!! UNFORTUNATELY. I worked for voluntary institutions - in the end I often asked myself. Did it really matter? NO!
